We don't make it, of course, and instead stop off at the Princes Georges County Trap and Skeet Range, just a stone's throw from the NASA complex just outside Washington DC. There we meet Head Instructor Rhys Arthur, who gives us a rundown on the shooting sports of Trap, Skeet, and Sporting Clays.
Rhys, who also runs Shooting Star Shotgun Sports, is a champion competitor himself, as well as a Level III instructor - the highest level of certification - takes fifteen minutes of his time to talk about the sport, his love of instruction, and the satisfaction he gets from seeing new shooters take to the sport.
